Watch Interior Designers Jessica Main, Leanne Anderson, and Allisen Marshall all students from Santa Barbara City College recreate a beautifull living area with lovely furniture from Santa Barbara Design Center and antique rugs from Rugs and more to help bring the living area together. You will be walked through the “before and after” decorating of each vignette as each designer chooses what features them best in each space. Santa Barbara Design Center loved working with each new designer. Each one had a very unique style and theme for their vignettes. And as you will see from the final output they had a lot of fun decorating.
Professor Laura Welby, Certified Interior Designer, from SBCC brought three of her best students.
Allisen graduated from UCSB with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology. Since then she has been working in the food and wine industry at Trader Joes and at Riverbench Winery in Santa Barbara’s “funk zone”. By taking an architectural drafting class at Santa Barbara City College over the summer, she discovered her interest in design.
She hopes to relate her interests in the restaurant and wine business to her future career in commercial interior design. This is Allisen’s first year as an interior design student and we thought she did an amazing job with her vignette that she was giving at the Santa Barbara Design Center.
Jessica Main, has a passion for revitalizing interiors. She started her own business two years ago which is called REVAMP. She assists people with eliminating items that no longer bring them joy. REVAMP redesigns spaces using Feng Shui principles, which focuses on decluttering, increasing functionality and aesthetic appeal. The discarded household items are then donated directly to non-profit organizations that help people in need.
Jessica’s background includes a decade in the fashion industry. She has earned an Associates of Arts Degree in Arts and Humanities. She will be obtaining in an A.A in Interior Design from Santa Barbara City College this summer.
If you like Jessica’s design vignette and would like her to help you create a wonderful space in your home or office you may contact her by phone 805 440 0261 or via email [email protected]
Leann loves working one-on-one with clients, learning how they want to use their space to then create a design that reflects both their vision and style. At her firm, JumpStart Interior Design , she helps clients reuse and/or repurpose their existing furniture and accessories within a new design or space plan.
Leann loves a good vintage find and is known to mix it up a bit with her own personal interior design style that is eclectic, funky and fun. We feel that the swanky lounge fits right in with her personality!
