Design has been in my blood since I was a child. My father was a dealer of antiques and fine arts and my mother had a keen eye for all things esthetic. Growing up in this environment and around antique shows, rooms and spaces became very personal to me. Certain pieces and arrangements began to speak to me on a deep level.
Over the years I studied art, music and later studied at USCB and Art Center and became a graphic designer. During this time I learned to apply classic principles and developed the ability to coordinate concepts and objects from vastly different origins and make them work together. I also developed the ability to quickly see what works and what doesn’t. I feel its critical to be brutally honest with yourself and be able to change direction when required.
Since studying in the Interior Design program at SBCC I’ve learned to develop project life-cycles, contract drawing packages, space planning and more. I’m developing a style that is a balance of playful elegance and surprise. I’ve found that blending multiple styles is very powerful and that things that are classic are timeless.
My goal as an interior designer is to help connect people with their spaces on a deep and meaningful level. I want to work with clients in an alchemic way that gives their home a voice and represents them and their spirit.
