Introducing Allisen Marshall

Design Santa Barbara is happy to introduce you to one of our young and up-coming designers that we were fortunate to have on our show, Allisen Marshall. She is one of the three students that represented Santa Barbara City College’s Interior Designers.

Allisen graduated from UCSB with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology. Since then she has been working in the food and wine industry at Trader Joes and at Riverbench Winery in Santa Barbara’s “funk zone”. By taking an architectural drafting class at Santa Barbara City College over the summer, she discovered her interest in design. She hopes to relate her interests in the restaurant and wine business to her future career in commercial interior design. This is Allisen’s first year as an interior design student and we thought she did an amazing job with her vignette that she was giving at the Santa Barbara Design Center.

We want to congratulate all three designer students they did an amazing job! Each of their Vignettes are still featured on our floor for another week. So please stop by the Santa Barbara Design Center if you are interested in purchasing any of the merchandise. All Carpets are from Rugs and More.

Introducing Jessica Main – One of Our Featured Designers

Design Santa Barbara would like to present Jessica Main, she is an up-and-coming new designer that we are featuring in Season 3 of Design Santa Barbara. This episode is all about showcasing young designers from the Santa Barbara City College – where each designer is given a vignette to decorate with the furnishing from Santa Barbara Design Center and carpets from Rugs and More! The students are picked by Laura Welby, Certified Interior Designer, and who is their instructor of interior design at Santa Barbara City College.

Interior Designer Jessica Main

Jessica Main, has a passion for revitalizing interiors. She started her own business two years ago which is called REVAMP. She assists people with eliminating items that no longer bring them joy. REVAMP redesigns spaces using Feng Shui principles, which focuses on decluttering, increasing functionality and aesthetic appeal. The discarded household items are then donated directly to non-profit organizations that help people in need.

Jessica’s background includes a decade in the fashion industry. She has earned an Associates of Arts Degree in Arts and Humanities. She will be obtaining in an A.A in Interior Design from Santa Barbara City College this summer.

Presenting the New Designers we Showcased ~ Leann Anderson

Leann Anderson is a Certified Interior Designer, got her degree last year from Santa Barbara City College and launched her own interior design business, JumpStart Interior Design.

She was invited to design one of the showroom floor vignettes at Santa Barbara Design Center, (All pieces used in the design are from the design center). Her design and that of her fellow students will be featured on Design Santa Barbara this season – so stay tuned! Her space is very creative and fun! She named it Swanky Lounge – and we feel that she nailed it!

Leann loves working one-on-one with clients, learning how they want to use their space to create a design that reflects both their vision and style. As part of her design process, Leann will assess with the owner any existing furniture and accessories to reuse and/or repurpose within the final design. Leann loves a good vintage find and is known to mix it up a bit with her own personal interior design style that is eclectic, funky and fun. We feel that the swanky lounge fits right in with her personality!

As our lifestyles change we often find it necessary to update our living spaces to accommodate our new needs, but many of us don’t know where to start. At JumpStart Interior Design we will assess your needs, collaborate with you on your vision, provide design ideas while also being respectful of your budget.

To get projects finished on time, and on budget, we will provide you with a letter of agreement which will include scope of services, cost and time.

Designer of the Month Stephanie Denier

Stephanie Denier has a creative talent with interiors and we at the Santa Barbara Design Center would like to congratulate her on being our Designer of the Month! She began her career in 1999 and has enjoyed creating exceptional homes throughout the U.S and developed a very successful interior design firm. It’ a full service interior design firm serving a client base mostly in the Santa Barbara area, the majority of her business is focused on residential and hospitality projects, remodeling and new construction.

Stephanie holds a NCIDQ Certification, CCIDC Certification, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the prestigious Design Institute of San Diego. Her clients are as varied and diverse as the interiors she creates for them. The thread that connects Stephanie’s work is emphasis on livability. With her innovative eye and project management experience she has created distinctive and timeless interiors.
