Anna Parfenova
I am an international student, I came to the USA from Russia. I was born and grew up in a small typical Russian village, but at the age of 17 I went to study at university in Saint Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I got Master’s degree in Economics and Finance. I was worked in the bank as a business manager and was engaged in family business, but I realized that this is not what I really want to do in my life. And I decided to quit the job to implement what I had long time dreamed of. I left my family, friends, good work and came to the US to study the Interior Design.
When I visited Santa Barbara first time and felt that exactly here I should start my education and career in Interior Design. The city has a rich history, a great architecture, an interesting culture, nice people and very beautiful nature. This is a perfect place for inspiration and immersion in creativity. Enrolling to SBCC is the best decision in my life. I completed three semesters in the college and I’m going to start working to get more practical experience and create interesting experiments in real projects. In my work I like to play with colors, to combine different textures, shapes, scales and styles. And for me, interior design is first of all the feelings that I bring into space.
