Cindy Daly
My name is Cindy Daly. I am from Ventura and I have been a graphic artist for over 20 years. I started taking Interior Design classes because my daughter, who is an Interior Designer, wanted to start her own business and I wanted to help her and be a part of it. She sent me back to school to learn about Interior Design and what it entails.
As I was taking my classes, I found that I really liked the different aspects of Interior Design. I loved learning the computer programs CAD and Revit and the language of drafting. I also loved being creative when designing spaces, adding color and furnishings and picking materials and finishes. Right now I am getting ready to remodel my own home and have been able to use some of the skills that I have learned from my classes and my daughter. I figure that if I can remodel my own home, I can definitely help other people remodel their homes. I see myself helping my daughter in her business in the future and also taking on my own clients.
As to my personal style in Interior design, I love a casual, eclectic, bohemian, rustic feel. I think a combination of these styles is where my strengths lie. I tend to pay close attention to details in my approach to Interior Design and I feel like this is a great talent that helps pull a room or a project together. There are so many pieces to the puzzle when creating or updating a space. Being detail oriented helps to make sure that nothing is forgotten. Finally, I love being able to combine both the technical and the creative aspects of Interior Design when creating a space. For me, this is the best of both worlds.
