Dana got to know some interesting individuals over the years. Furthermore, having been a part of many industries he was very fortunate to have met many people. Santa Barbara has been home to many famous faces from Hollywood.
Who are the most recognizable that you know to have lives in Santa Barbara? Well, Dana fortunate to have known Kirk Douglas and was honored to have attended his 100th birthday.
How Dana Helps People In Need
Dana Newquist is involved in dimentia and alzheimer’s. What does he do to help these people in need? Many ask what the difference is between dimentia and alzhiemer’s. The brain changes of dementia with Lewy bodies alone can cause dementia. They can be present at the same time as the brain changes of Alzheimer’s disease and/or vascular dementia. With each abnormality contributing to the development of dementia.

Furthermore, Dana Newquist is the President of the Santa Barbara AACA Region (Antique Automobile Club of America). As a result His is a lifetime of automotive enthusiasm that began when just prior to graduating from High School, in 1965 when Dana purchased a rusty old 1957 Chevy 150 2 door. In conclusion, It was the first of hundreds of cars, first fast, later slow. Furthermore, His passion for cars has lead to a collection of 16 cars today, mostly pre-war American of various marques.
Dana’s involvement with the AACA has helped him make connections and affiliations with Museums and he is a Board Member of the Murphy Auto Museum. Because Newquist helps chair and organize local car shows and he currently co-chairs the Montecito Motor Classic and Father’s Day Show at the Santa Barbara Club that takes place annually.
