On Design Santa Barbara we welcome Chris Belanger. An Architect with a firm specializing in high-end residential home design. His firm is client focused with a goal to create a home for clients based on your style and specific goals. A home that feels exactly “right” every time you walk through the door.
Chris Belanger has a practice that often extends beyond the scope of home design. He works with clients over the years as they alter or add to their property. Furthermore he assists with the design of the landscape and exterior amenities such as fireplaces or outdoor dining areas.
Beyond the traditional scope of design practice, we also work with our clients on a range of property related needs. As well as home control and lighting systems and even furniture and artwork inventory.
About Chris Belanger
On Design Santa Barbara we get to know a little bit more about Belanger. Chris came to Santa Barbara in 2005 from north east Massachusetts. He Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amhert. Earning his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, Architecture and interior Design. As a kid Belanger became interested in houses. Seeing these amazing summer homes with a style of late 1800’s led him to become more interested. As a result he has become amazed by the architecture even throughout high school.
What is your style in architect?
Does Chris have a certain style in his designs? When it comes to his clients he does not. It is more about figuring out what the clients style is. Sitting down and seeing what their interests are. It is important to know what they want in order to create their dream home. Furthermore, Knowing what they love and what inspires them. For Instance, asking about the style hotels they have been to and which they loved the most. This can tell a little about their style and what made them feel at home.
Technology in Architecture
Technology has become more and more advanced throughout the years. This has helped many architects like Chris Belanger to use an ipad in order to be able to do sketch his designs. Rather than using a basic pen and paper. Using technology mimics just that. Hand drawing it though an ipad gives you all the tools you need and are very useful. Furthermore. 3D Becomes very easy to navigate in design. Furthermore, This tool can show the client what the house will look like. As well as helping the architect walk them through it all. Visually helping a client understand their dream home and style. As a result, Clients spend a lot of money creating their homes and interior decorators. So using 3D design can help them see what they invision. In that note it also builds trust between you and the client.
