The women in the tribe are responsible for providing the sheep and goat wool, gathering all the natural dyes, designing, and finally weaving the rug.
This specific piece most probably was woven to be gifted to an important person, due to its unusual size it would have been difficult to fit in a small tent.
This unique rug is in a very good condition. Considering it was woven in 1870s.

Antique Kerman Rug
Kerman is a desert city located in central Iran.
This master piece is a combined design of Tree of Life and Milleflory (1001 Flowers) as well as variety of animals.
Woven around second half of the 19th century and is in mint condition.
Antique Caucasian Prayer Rug
These Caucasian prayer rugs are similar in motifs but, with different interpretation.

The design consists of 6 different borders, symbolic elements such as Guz (against devil eye), comb, cross, and star.
